At the University of Tennessee, the VolShop is proud to reimagine student employment by launching the Student Retailer Program—a developmental and experiential learning model that empowers student employees to thrive personally, academically, and professionally.
Through hands-on experience, training, and academic integration, Student Retailers become leaders prepared to make an immediate impact in today’s retail landscape. Students are not only employees; they are innovators, brand ambassadors, and future professionals gaining the experience they need for career success.
Program Goals
- Provide practical experience in a dynamic retail environment
- Develop transferable skills in merchandising, omnichannel sales, and customer service
