Retail Data Analyst
This position supports data-driven decision making across all departments of the VolShop by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting operational and business data. The Data Analyst develops reports, dashboards, and visualizations that improve merchandising, inventory management, e-commerce, course materials, customer experience, and financial performance. Working independently under general supervision, this position ensures data integrity, identifies trends and opportunities, and partners with all departmental managers to improve operational efficiency through data analysis and business intelligence.

- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 year of experience in data analytics

Assistant Store Manager
Assistant Store Manager
The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and managing full-time and student employees at the Student Union VolShop and VolSnacks. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, and coaching staff to ensure excellent customer service, product knowledge, and operational efficiency.This role involves performing store opening and closing procedures, ensuring accurate cashiering practices, and managing staff scheduling. The Assistant Manager serves as the Manager on Duty during weekends, peak shopping periods, athletic events, and whenever the Store Manager is unavailable. The position may require occasional on-campus travel for VolShop events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma/GED
- Associate’s degree preferred
- 1-year working in retail industry
- 1-2 years of previous retail management or similar field (preferred)

The VolShop is the Official Campus Store for the University of Tennessee with 7+ locations. We're looking for students that have interest in retail, merchandising, technology, course materials, business, etc. Various positions in various locations are available. All applicants must bleed orange and white.
Required Skills: Friendly, happy, Big Orange personality. Great customer service skills. Willingness to learn and must have great love and passion for the University of Tennessee.
Must be able to take direction, work on multiple projects at the same time, be able to work VolShop events, including home football games.
Hours: up to 20 hrs/wk

Student Retailer – Product Information Management (PIM) Intern | NetSuite ERPPosition Overview
The VolShop is seeking a Product Information Management (PIM) Intern to support Product Information Management (PIM) within NetSuite ERP. This role is part of our Student Retailer Program, designed to provide hands-on experience in retail operations, systems, and leadership development within a modern college store environment.
In this role, students will work at the intersection of data, merchandising, and technology: helping manage the product information that powers both our in-store and eCommerce experiences. This is an opportunity to go beyond the sales floor and gain exposure to how a retail organization operates behind the scenes.
About the Student Retailer Program
The Student Retailer Program is designed to develop students through real-world experience in retail operations, business systems, and continuous improvement. Students in this program gain exposure to areas such as customer service, visual merchandising, eCommerce, data management, and buying while building transferable skills for most careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update product information, including pricing, attributes, and descriptions within NetSuite
- Support product setup and ensure data accuracy across systems
- Assist with organizing product categories and improving product discoverability
- Review and enhance product titles, descriptions, and images for clarity and consistency
- Perform data uploads and updates using Excel and system tools
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or errors
- Collaborate with buyers, marketing, and operations teams to gather and validate product information
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to product data processes
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and systems (Excel experience preferred)
- Interest in retail, merchandising, eCommerce, or business operations
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and navigate technology with confidence
