Shipping Policy


Shipping Carrier

We use UPS (Ground) and USPS. We will choose the cheapest method for shipping between these two carriers. If you are shipping to a PO Box, the carrier will be USPS by default.

Shipping Rates

We currently have a flat rate tier in place, based on the total cost of your online order. Here are the current charges in place:

  • Up to $49.99 = $8 shipping
  • Purchases $50 - $299.99 = $12 shipping
  • Purchases $300 - $899.99 = $20 shipping
  • Purchases $900+ = $40 shipping
We are in the process of migrating to an integrated shipping platform, where shipping rates are based on package dimensions and weight. Additional shipping charges may apply to some items because of size, weight, or special handling that is required to make sure your order reaches you safely. If an item has an additional shipping charge, it will appear in the description area of the item on the product page. Some examples of items that require additional shipping fees are the Boston Rocker and Captain's Chair. *Please note, shipping rates are non-refundable, even in the event of a return/exchange.

UT Package Lockers

We can ship to UT Package Lockers via University Printing and Mail. Students are assigned a locker location based on their residential housing. Students must live in on-campus residential housing to choose this shipping method.

International Shipping

At this time, we do not ship internationally. We are looking at the possibility of offering this service in the future.

In-Store Pickup

We offer in-store pickup at our Student Union (1502 Cumberland Avenue; Knoxville, TN 37996) locations only. Technology purchases can be picked up in the VolTech location, level G3 of the Student Union. Course materials can be picked up in the VolBooks location, level G3 of the Student Union. General merchandise and apparel can be picked up in the VolShop location, level G2 of the Student Union. **Please note, ALL items selected for in-store pickup MUST be picked up within 14 days of receiving email notification your order is ready for pickup. Please wait until you've received your shipment notification prior to coming to your selected VolShop location. Please have your email confirmation with you when you come to pick up your order, as it will help us to assist you more quickly and efficiently.
